First of all, I was very unsatisfied because I only had the last 5 minutes of our class plus extra 5 minutes -which I wasn’t happy to keep people after class, when the first few people had almost half an hour to explain their projects and get feedback. I know we started late, but we didn’t have to wait for the other students, really, since the presentation was actually for the guest critics and Jess.
Other than that, I got good response from the critics and they made me think about how I can make this project more accessible, and the function of the printed materials. After the critique I also started to think about what kind of dreams are the ones that I want to see in the final 50 (or 10, 25…) The projects on the line between ‘doable’ dreams and fantastical dreams are the most exciting ones, so I will be focusing on them. And during the winter break I will be experimenting with different types of print formats, and I will try to explore what I can do with the dreams.
